UV rays from the sun, a history of smoking, aging, weight gain and loss can all affect the features of your face and encourage wrinkle formation. It’s natural to want to enhance your face and if beauty creams and cosmetics aren’t giving you the results you desire, you may consider dermal injections to improve, boost and supplement your facial skin’s appearance.
New technologies have created non-invasive treatments to rejuvenate your face, remove wrinkles, smooth lines, add volume and enhance the appearance of your face. These innovative technologies are termed dermal fillers and the enhancements possible using dermal fillers have successfully enabled people to enhance their appearance without invasive surgical treatments. There are many types of dermal filler available, each with differing uses, features and results. Dr. Craft is skilled and experienced in the appropriate selection and injection of the latest injectable technologies and will work with you to create a plan leaving you with wrinkle-free, smooth skin.

A liquid face lift uses safe, nontoxic injectable materials to create a silky and youthful appearance by lifting sagging skin, smoothing wrinkles and ‘lifting’ or contouring the face. Improve facial contouring and eliminate wrinkles without surgery.
Belotero
Belotero can also be easily injected and applied to repair wrinkles and marks on shallow and fine skin such as around the eyes, mouth and lips. Belotero is a synthetic hyaluronic acid filler. Hyaluronic acid natural occurs in human bodies and is found in the fluid surrounding the eyes, in cartilage and joints and in skin tissue. The enhancements caused by Belotero injections generally last between three and six months.
Voluma
Voluma injections are a non-surgical treatment option that enhances the overall appearance of the upper face by adding volume and ‘lifting’ or contouring the face. Voluma are usually used by patients who want to add volume to sunken areas such as under the eyes or the cheeks. Voluma lasts up to two years.

Non-invasive Procedure
Although dermal injections are non-invasive procedures, there are some considerations before choosing dermal injections including:
- Dermal filler injections should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components.
- Dermal filler injections should not be used on areas that are irritated or infected.
- Dermal filler injections should not be used in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Dermal fillers injections should not be used in people under 18.
The most common side effects for dermal filler injections vary, however, most include minor swelling, bruising or discomfort to the treated area. Some dermal fillers can cause headaches for 24 hours following the procedure. There have also been a few reported cases of blindness and nerve paralysis. In extremely rare cases, a blood vessel can be accidentally ruptured leading to necrosis (tissue death), embolism or infraction. Hyaluronic acid fillers can also cause small bumps to appear under the skin, however, some dermal filler formulas generally avoid this side effect.
Before receiving dermal filler injections you will discuss your goals and medical history with Dr. Craft and your enhancement team. It is important that during this time you discuss any chin or neck surgery you’ve had, any cosmetic enhancements you’ve had done to your face, neck or chin and your medical history.
Procedure
Dermal filler injections are non-invasive non-surgical procedures that are generally completed within thirty to sixty minutes. Depending on your enhancement plan, each injection procedure will include anywhere from seven to forty small injections. Dr. Craft and your enhancement team will work with you to identify the problem areas to be treated with the dermal filler injections as well as an injection schedule for those injections that require more than one application.
Dr. Craft may also consider a combination of dermal filler injections. If necessary, you may be injected with lidocaine or a topical cream may be used to freeze the areas that will be injected.
Dr. Craft will then inject the dermal filler into the appropriate areas. Most patients report some minor discomfort during the injections, while many patients report no discomfort.
After the injections, you will minimize exposure of the treated area to the sun for 24 hours and be careful not to agitate or rub the treated areas. Depending on the areas treated and your specific skin condition, Dr. Craft will explain after care to you following the procedure.
